＜作品の説明＞
お気に入りの本がたくさんあるので、その中から1冊だけ選び出すことができませんでした。それで、お気に入りの形態の本を作ることにしました。 手間と時間がかかっても、18世紀のこの形の本が好きです。 未熟なので小型のものしか作れませんでしたが、いつか大きなものも作りたいと思います。
＜作品説明やエピソード、制作時の事等＞
表紙のマーブル紙にはロウを塗りました。苦労したのは革の扱いです。水で湿らせてから糊をひきましたが、革の色が小口に付いて慌てました。この程度で革が色落ちするとは思いもしませんでした。 編んだ花布も好きな色を使ったのですが、もっとはっきりした色を使えば良かったと思います。 今の私の腕で出来る限り忠実に、１８世紀の作り方にしたつもりです。
